Generals are beaten on road
Cyclones 5, Generals 0 Staff reports March 23, 2002 Greensboro News & Record CINCINNATI - The schedule-makers in the East Coast Hockey League have the Greensboro Generals on the run. The Generals made their only trip to Cincinnati all season on Friday night, and lost to the Cyclones 5-0. Cyclones goalkeeper Alex Westlund stopped 28 shots, 14 in the third period, to get the shutout. Cincinnati scored three times in the first 11 minutes of play and cruised from there. After the game, the Generals boarded a bus for Richmond for a game tonight. Next week, the team plays three home games sandwiched around a trip to Johnstown, Pa. The homestand begins Wednesday night against the Augusta Lynx. |
