Generals Henry named echl goalie of the week Perfect 4-0-0 record gives team their longest winning streak ever Greensboro, NC - The Greensboro Generals of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) are pleased to announce goaltender Frederic Henry (ahn-REE) was awarded the league's Goaltender of the Week award for his spectacular performance this week. Henry becomes the first General to win a league award this season. Henry's play helped the Generals to four wins this week. The four game winning streak is the longest in the three year history of the Greensboro Generals. Henry, 24, had a perfect 4-0-0 record for the week in four games, allowing a total of only five goals in those games. Among his four wins were victories over two division leaders, a 2-1 shootout win at the northeast division leading Trenton Titans on Friday and a 2-1 overtime triumph against the southeast division leading Pee Dee Pride on Saturday. Henry finished the week with a microscopic 1.21 goals against average and a scintillating .954 save percentage, saving 103 of 108 shots. Henry is now a perfect 5-0-0 for the Generals since joining the club last week, with an overall 1.56 goals against average and .941 save percentage. Following a three game road trip, the Generals are not home again until Sunday, December 16 at 3:00 against the defending Kelly Cup champion South Carolina Stingrays. That game features the Generals "Teddy Bear Toss" promotion. Anyone who brings a stuffed animal to the game will receive a free ticket to the game if they purchase another ticket. Immediately after the Generals score their first goal, fans are asked to throw the bears on the ice, where they will be collected and donated to children in need during the holiday season.. Tickets for the December 16 game and all home games range from $9.00 - $16.00. The special "Foxhole" section is also on sale for $20.00. The Foxhole is a private ice-level section fully equipped with a cash bar, barstools and cocktail tables. Tickets are available at both the Greensboro Coliseum and LJVM Coliseum Annex Monday - Saturday from 11:00 - 5:00 and through the first period of all game nights.
