Joel Irwin Traded to Pee Dee Prides
In order to get ready for the up-coming season the Generals are shaking up the roster to make things happen and to build a winning tradition here in the Triad. The Generals have traded Forward Joel Irwin to the Pee Dee Pride in exchange for Forward Casey Kesselring. Kesselring played the last 2 seasons with the Pee Dee Pride where he played in 140 games, scored 42 goals, had 77 assists for a total of 119 points. The most impressive fact is what he did in the play-offs. This season in the play-offs in 10 games he scored 6 goals and had 4 assists for a total of 10 points. "Casey was brought here for his play-off experience and has played consistently for the past 3 years. He is considered a skilled player who can play Center or Wing, which makes him a very versatile player. It's hard to give up a good player like Joel, but you have to give up a good player to get a good player." Coach Graeme Townsend on the trade of Joel Irwin. "As much as I hate seeing Joel leave our organization I feel Casey will be an outstanding addition to the team." Generals President Rocco Scarfone on the trade. |
