Generals Acquire Two Pride Defensemen
Robinson Dealt to Pee Dee for Dean and Coole

Greensboro, NC - The Greensboro Generals of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) have announced a three-player trade with the Pee Dee Pride. All three players are defensemen, with the Generals acquiring Leigh Dean and Ryan Coole in exchange for Jason Robinson.
Dean, 25, is in his second pro season, all previously spent with the Pride. The 6'3", 205 pound stay-at-home defenseman has one goal, two assists, and 53 penalty minutes this season in 38 games. He was also second on the team with a +11 rating. Over his 92 career games, he has one goal, eight assists and 99 penalty minutes.
Coole, 23, is another defensive-style defenseman. Currently playing in his rookie season, Coole has one goal and eight assists playing for both the Pride and the Columbia Inferno. His big numbers are his penalty minutes. The 6'0", 215 pound native of Duluth, MN currently has 151 penalty minutes, more than any current Generals player.
Robinson, who was the team captain for the Generals, leaves having notched zero goals, six assists, 97 penalty minutes and a minus-20 rating in 38 games.
The Generals next game is Saturday at 7:30 against the Toledo Storm at the LJVM Coliseum Annex in Winston-Salem.
