Generals Guarantee They'll Beat The Bullies
January 4th game is "guaranteed win Night" January 3, 2002 Greensboro, NC - The Greensboro Generals of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) are holding a special promotion for their next home game, Friday night at 7:30 against the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies. The game is being dubbed "Guaranteed Win Night" by the Generals. "Guaranteed Win Night" is a very simple promotion. If the Generals don't beat the Boardwalk Bullies, everyone in attendance will receive a free ticket to a future Generals game, either on February 13 against the Pee Dee Pride or February 17 against the Macon Whoopee. "We're putting our money where our mouth is," says Generals co-owner and president Rocco Scarfone. "If we don't hold up our end of the bargain Friday night, the fans will be treated to a free game on us. How can a hockey fan not want to go to this game?" In addition to Guaranteed Win Night, the Generals are also at home on Saturday, January 5, when they host their in-state rival Charlotte Checkers at 7:30. Tickets for all home games range from $9.00 - $16.00, with two dollar discounts on certain seats for students and seniors. The special "Foxhole" section is also on sale for $20.00. The foxhole is a private ice-level section fully equipped with a cash bar, barstools and cocktail tables. Tickets are available at both the Greensboro Coliseum and LJVM Coliseum Annex Monday - Saturday from 11:00 - 5:00 and through the first period of all game nights.
