Why the Generals won: The Generals came out strong early on and capitalized on great shooting. Greensboro played strong for two periods and forced an overtime period to get the victory, its sixth in seven games. The Generals travel to Cincinnati tonight.

Stars: Greensboro - Tom Reiman, game-winning goal; Mike Bayrack, two goals, game-winning assist. Dayton - Olivier Proulx, one goal, one assist.

The play: At 1:16 in the overtime period, Reiman scored on an odd-man rush, when Bayrack used his speed in 4-on-4 coverage to set up the winner.
