Why the Generals won: The Generals defense played with tenacity in the second and third periods, helping to open up the Greensboro offense for scoring chances.
Stars: Greensboro - Geno Parrish, one goal, one assist; Joel Irwin, game-winning goal.
The play: Greensboro turned up the defensive energy during a shorthanded situation in the second period. Mark Turner took advantage of a miscue by the Titans to cut the Trenton lead to 4-3.
What they said; "Coach Adduono came into the locker room (before the second period) and told us that we needed to pick up our feet because we were kinda slow. In the second and third period we outplayed them" - Geno Parrish, Generals defenseman.
