Generals shake up roster for stretch run at playoffs

With the ECHL playoffs drawing near, the Greensboro Generals adjusted their roster for the stretch run.

Greensboro activated forward Pete Gardiner off the injured reserve list Monday and placed defenseman Likit Andersson on the 30-day injured list.

Gardiner, a right winger limited to just nine games since rejoining the team in December, has three goals and eight assists. He spent the first three months of the season with the Rochester Americans of the AHL.

Gardiner was one of the Generals top scorers last season, finishing with 25 goals and 30 assists in 66 games.

The Generals also released forwards. Erik Wendell and Chester Gallant. Wendell had five goals and three assists in 43 games this year, and Gallant had four goals and two assists in 34 games.
