Generals' finances
- The struggling pro hockey team, which is now a ward of the city and the
taxpayers, may break even this season - if a private group raises $200,000 to
cover revenue shortfalls.
A big Generals crowd
- Meanwhile, a special promotion attracts the Generals' largest home crowd of
the season, prompting expanded seating. So maybe there are more hockey fans in
Greensboro than we figured. Or did all those people show up for a shot to win a
2000 Chevy Cavalier?
