February 22, 2004 GENERALS REPORT Generals - 4 Checkers - 3 INSIDER Site: Crickett Arena, Charlotte Why the Generals won: Despite being outshot in the third period and overtime by a 15-10 margin, Greensboro scored two goals in the third period, knotting the game at 3-3. The victory moves Greensboro to 2-1 on the season in shootouts. Stars: Greensboro - Geno Parrish had the game-winning goal in round eight of the shootout. Man Chandler had the game-tying goal. Jamie Hodson had 30 saves. The play: At the 4:37 mark of the third period Greensboro's Joel Irwin caught a pass out of the air and kicked it off his skate to Matt Chandler to score the game-tying goal. Chandler's goal from inside the faceoff circle tied the game at 3-3. What they said: "Joel Irwin made the best play I have ever seen on the ice.
